Federative Republic of Brazil

The colours green and yellow, in the National Flag of brazil, are representative of Emperor Pedro I and the Royal House of Bragança and that of Empress Leopoldina and the Royal House of Habsburg. The celestial sphere portrays the sky of Rio de Janeiro on the night of the 15th of November 1889 the day the republic was proclaimed.
