Islamic Republic of Pakistan

The colours used in the flag of Pakistan have the following symbolic meanings: white represents minority, green represents Muslim majority, the crescent stands for progress, and the five rayed star is said to represent light and knowledge.

This flag was designed by Ameer-ud-din Khidwai and was adopted on the 14th of August 1947.
