Trinidad and Tobago

The colours of the flag of Trinidad and Tobago are said to be symbolic of: red for the vitality of the land and people, energy from the sun, and courage and friendliness; white for the sea, purity of national aspirations, and equality of all men; and, black for strength, unity and purpose, and natural resources.

The flag was designed by the Independence Committee in 1962.
