I have 3 or those cadillac antennas that I got at a junk yard in Idaho over 40 years ago (saving them for my 57 Chev that I am finally getting around to restoring). Two of the motors work great and one was in a flood here in Gilroy Ca. in 1984. I have two masts both broken, but between the two all the parts to make one without a splice, what luck. To the point, how did you get the very tip off?? Your web-site said you used some pliers and ?? Both of mine have a hex-head but don't seem to budge. Any help would be appreciated. I love 59 and 60 Cads, I will never forget one day in Billings Mt. year 1959 (I was 14) and my dad was in the used car business and we were at the Chevy garage buying some used cars and the owner (I think it was Lew Williams) had a brand new 1959 red Eldorado Convertible that made everyones eyes pop out. Anyway any hellp would be appreciated.
