Solitary, 8-32 inches in diameter, grey, texture is smooth and ringed with old leaf scars, some old leaf base remnants persist towards the crown making a lattice-like pattern.

Costamalpate, up to 5-6 feet wide, medium to bright green, costa is downward curving, petiole has no spines and can be up to 6 feet long

Flowers:-

Small creamy white flowers on branching inflorescences up to six feet long

Fruit:-

½ an inch in diameter, round and dark brown/black when ripe

Sex:-

Hermaphrodite, self pollinating with one plant

Pests & Diseases:-

No major pests or diseases

Seed Germination:-

Very easily and quickly, up to 1 month
